Whistler Blackcomb 2008 Opening Day

Although Opening Day for 2008 has not been offically set just yet a few lucky people where able to get up the mountain and make some early seasons turns in the recent 30cm snowfall. Like many of you here in Vancouver we are also anxiously watching the Whistler Blackcomb alpine webcams.

As ski season approaches we always make a concerned effort to get in ski shape to help prevent injury, and build strength. The Grouse grind in North Vancouver is our favorite pre ski season routine.

Gordon Campbell’s B.C Real Estate and Housing Rescue Plan

On Nov 1st Gordon Campbell brought forth 2 measures in an effort to assist in creating certainty in the B.C housing Market. The first measure is to lock property assessments for 1 year and the second is a property tax deferment program. 

Time will tell if the following shifts will help to create greater consumer confidence in the Vancouver housing market. Below is the official press release of the measures outlined by Premier Gordon Campbell.

10 Home Staging Mistakes

 

1: Just because you love it does not mean everyone else will. Ensure your property appeals to the broadest buying public, which means neutralize. If the colour palette or decorating style is too far out, people will be put off by the “personality” of the home, and it will be difficult for them to visualize themselves and their own belongings in the house.

2: Closets and pantries are crowded and cluttered. Edit each storage space of excess or seasonal items to make sure the viewers can see the space. Crammed spaces give viewers the perception that there is not enough storage space and that the house is bursting at the seams.
