The Landing Lower Lonsdale (Current Listings)

Buyers now have another chance to get a home at The Pier — a $259-million waterfront development just east of Lonsdale Quay public market — with the release of 44 units in a project called The Landing.
This six-storey low-rise on the north side of the Esplanade is a mixed-use project with 44 condos — 11 of which are work/live spaces — and 10 commercial units. The Landing is adjacent to three high-rises in The Pier development, which sold out quickly when they were first brought to market by Pinnacle International. The first two were 22-storey towers and the third was a 12-storey high-rise.
The Landing completes the north side development of the Esplanade, with work on the south side for this master-planned community just beginning. (A ground-breaking ceremony for the south side projects happened July 23).
And while there are no completed buildings on the south side yet, the public has already gained access to the former shipyard’s 700-foot-long pier, which was original to the site, but has been upgraded.
The developer is building about 1,000 housing units in total, as well as a hotel with a convention centre, shops, restaurants, galleries, a marine museum and waterfront park in the former North Vancouver shipyard, which will have its derelict buildings revitalized.
Pinnacle International bought this highly valued, 5.2-hectare piece of property in 2001.
The Landing was originally meant to be all office space on the corner of Lonsdale Avenue and Esplanade, but demand for residential was so high it was changed to a mixed-used project.
The Landing will also have a 1,000-square-foot rooftop deck. All of the units are quite unique, whether they have a slightly different deck or floor plan. They all have views either of the courtyard or the water.
The Landing will have commercial units on the ground level, offices on the second floor, the live-work units on the third floor and 33 condos on the fourth, fifth and sixth floors.
The condos have nine-foot ceilings, fireplaces, air conditioning, as well as tiled floors, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchens. WestCoast Homes Published: Saturday, August 04, 2007
