North Vancouver Shipyards Demolished
Posted on January 24th, 2008 by Roland Lewis

Three heritage-designated buildings on the waterfront of the City of North Vancouver were voted by council 5-2 to rescind the heritage designation and move forward with demolition last night at a council meeting. So far the federal and provincial governments have been clear that in order for the National Maritime Museum to be considered, the overall costs of the project must be reduced. The city’s original proposal came in at $106 million which has now been reduced to a mere $80million. View our listing which is just over looking the water adjacent to the future museum.
