The Evelyn Drive Official Community Plan and Rezoning Amendment Bylaws were adopted on April 2, 2007. Before proceeding with subdivision, development permits and building permits, a Master Plan acceptable to West Vancouver Council is to be prepared.
A proposed Master Plan for Millenium’s Evelyn Properties has been submitted to the District of West Vancouver from Nick Milkovich Architects (with Arthur Erickson). This is a refinement and expansion of a previously submitted (April 2007) Concept Master Plan that was reviewed by the District’s Design Review Committee (DRC) at its meeting on Thursday May 3, 2007. The DRC recommended SUPPORT of the proposed Concept Master Plan for Evelyn Drive; the terraced building form and its appropriateness for the site; and the height variance for the terraced cluster housing, SUBJECT TO further review by Staff of a number of detailed items.
Demolition of homes in the Millennium Evelyn site commenced the week of April 22, 2007 and is expected to take 3 to 4 months to complete.
